I am taking the antidepressant Cymbalta. I will like to take Bach Flowers too but I do not know if its effect is affected by the antidepressants. Moreover I do not know if the combination of both (antidepressant and bach flowers) is bad for you?

  1. antidepressant really mess with you.

can't imagine that you would care to use Bach Flowers if your loaded up on cymbalta.

it could not hurt, but Bach Flowers are not a powerful effect anyway,

I can't meditate or anything like that when I was on an antidepressant, but you could be different.

test it and see if it works...

  2. There are many herbal remedies that you absolutely cannot take while taking antidepressants as you could become extremely ill.

The best thing to do is visit a pharmacist who also specializes in holistic medicine. She/he will be familiar with your prescribed anti-depressant as well as the ingredients of the Bach Flower Remedies, and can advise you as to the risk factors involved.

Try looking online to locate one in your area.  But if you can't find one that you trust, then I would recommend not taking the remedies until you are off the antidepressants.

A contraindication could be more severe than the initial illness.

    I hope that helps. :)
