I never see any PR schools participating in NCAA football or basketball. Do they do this on a small level, like D3 or something? Or are they just not involved at all? I would like to see a PR school play football with the big boys. Hawaii has built up a decent football program and they are farther from the mainland than PR. i think PR schools could recruit decent athletes and have a good program in less than a decade.

  1. It appears some schools in PR are part of the NCAA - Division II per this release in 2003

You'll have to look at the specific schools to see what sports they particiapte in.

  2. No universities of PR have been invited to NCAA tournaments (at any level), and I dont think their teams had the budget$ to travel around USA to play.

Teams from NCAA may have come to play an exibition game, I remember seen one at the CAAM (RUM) with another university from USA but I not remembered the name.

I did not seen the response from Paullette before posting mine.  According with her evidence the UPR (University of PR) has four campuses inscribed in 2003. (I studied from 1982-1987, seems I losted contact with the university.)
