Question:

Do any STOCK car CD players play mp3s?

I tried putting an .mp3 CD-R in a 2001 F-250, a 2001 Silverado, and a 2005 Silverado, and none of them were able to read it. (Of course they can all read .cda files off a CD-R.)

So the question again: Do any cars read .mp3 with the stock player, or do you always have to buy another special one in order to read .mp3s?

[It's annoying not being able to drag and drop back from the cd to the computer...having to install extra software to copy music off a .cda disc sucks :( ]
