I do , its just seem silly to me that we should learn all lessons on such a short time , one life , it rather sounds like a joke to me that an all loving god will get a burden off our shoulders and forgive our wrong doings just like that , without letting us experience the same bad things we have done to the people around us and ourselves , i mean thats how we truly learn , if its true that god forgives everything then there wouldn't be so many differences on earth , i have known that for example if someone kill himself , in the next life this person will come back in a country such as africa where surviving is top priority , and therefore learning the value of life would be one of this person lesson , but hey those are just my beliefs i just want to know if theres some Christians in here who believe in reincarnation and why ?

  1. no reincarnation.

  2. How can a Christian believe in that. That would be saying God does not exist. I am a christian. U can't believe in that and be a Christian.

  3. No, because i read the bible.

  4. No doubt I'll be lambasted, but yes, I do.

  5. I don't believe in reincarnation because it is a fabrication and wish full thinking. It sounds not only preposterous but  completely ludicrous.

It defeats the purpose of God's Plan Of Savation and why  He had send His only Beggotten Son (Jesus Christ) down to earth to save us from sin.

You sound like an immature adult or are you a child?

  6. (John15:26-27)

The only way you can believe Christ is if you have testimony of the Spirit of truth.

If you do not believe that you are lead by the Spirit, your faith in Christ might not exactly be so true. (2John1:7)

If your faith is true, maybe you do know what you believe, because you have been literally with Him from the beginning! (John15:27)

There have been numerous compelling Near Death Experiences featuring Jesus Christ AND the possibility of reincarnation. Too many to just right it off and say "it's completely impossible" or "it's not scriptural".

Isn't there a God who Loves us, and blessed us into glorious  life to begin with, and A Christ who testified of eternal life?

On earth, as it is in heaven. I have no doubt.

  7. The Bible says it is appointed unto men ONCE to die....

  8. No, but I believe in prexistance, that we were here in spiritual bodies before we were born in the flesh.

  9. If there are people here who believe in reincarnation then that means they are not Christians. To be a Christian means you are a follower of Christ and the one true God, the God of the bible. You can't disregard a clear teaching of God, the bible and Jesus and still claim to be a Christian. Either you believe Christ or you don't, either you believe the bible or you don't. Ask God for the truth, and then take a stand for God and tell others. God's truth always agrees with his word (the bible). Choose today who you will serve, as for me and my house we have chosen, we will stand with the Lord.

  10. My belief is based on the bible and it's teachings.

Heb 9:27 - And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment

  11. I believe in neither. I acknowledge both.

  12. Resurrection - not reincarnation.

    Reincarnation is not scripturally supportable.

  13. Christians are usually very surprised to learn that reincarnation was a doctrine once held by many early Christians. Not only that, as you will soon see there is overwhelming evidence in the Bible of Jesus himself teaching it.

Many Christians have misconceptions about reincarnation. One particular misconception is that it means people don't inhabit heavenly realms between Earth lives. The misconception is that people reincarnate immediately after death. It ignorantly assumes people will never be permanent residents of heavenly realms. People are free to spend an "eternity of eternities" in afterlife realms before reincarnating to Earth again. There is freedom of choice. This is because time, as we know it on Earth, does not exist in the afterlife realms as it does here. The ultimate purpose for reincarnation is for us to learn enough lessons and gain enough experience from Earth lives that reincarnation is no longer necessary. Like a graduation. Reincarnation is not the goal. Eternal life means never having to die anymore. That is the goal - overcoming death and rebirth. Reincarnation is the method and means to attain this goal. A good understanding of reincarnation begins by understanding the ancient teachings on the subject and comparing them. The following are teachings of the various ancient religions on reincarnation.

For thousands of years, Christians believed that when a person dies their soul would sleep in the grave along with their corpse. This soul sleep continues until a time in the future known as the "last day" or also known as the "final judgment." This doctrine concerns a time when Jesus supposedly returns in the sky and clouds with the angels to awakened sleeping souls in the graves. Then all corpses will crawl out of their graves like in the movie "Night of the Living Dead." This doctrine is the orthodox Christian doctrine called "resurrection" and it is the result of a misunderstanding of the higher teachings of Jesus concerning the reincarnation of the spirit into a new body and the real resurrection which is a spiritual rebirth or "awakening" within a person already alive. The orthodox concept of resurrection as the "Night of the Living Dead" is also the result of a great schism which occurred in early Christian history concerning pre-existence and the nature of Jesus. Was he a man who became God? Was he God born as a man? The struggle was between the Church established by Paul in Rome and the remnants of the Jerusalem Church who fled to Egypt after Rome invaded Israel in 70 AD. The Roman faction rejected pre-existence and reincarnation and believed Jesus was God become man. The Jerusalem faction knew Jesus was a man who achieved the human-divine at-one-ment which is the goal of everyone to escape reincarnation cycle of birth and death and have eternal life. But Rome won the political battle and orthodox resurrection became the "Night of the Living Dead."

Many Christians would be surprised to learn that the resurrection of corpses did not originate with Christianity nor with Judaism. It originated with the Zoroastrian religion in ancient Persia (of Magi fame). During the Babylonian exile of the Jews in Old Testament times, the Jews were influenced by Zoroastrian concepts such as the resurrection of corpses, a final day of judgment, the dualism of good versus evil, the hierarchy of angels including fallen angels, and the arch rival of God called Satan. Over time, these Zoroastrian doctrines were incorporated into the religious doctrines of Judaism. From those days forward, a foreign concept of regeneration called "resurrection" competed with the much older concept of reincarnation and the concept of Sheol - concepts that can be found in the Hebrew scriptures.

    Reincarnation and the Hebrew Religion

The first-century Jewish historian Flavius Josephus wrote about the Pharisees being believers in reincarnation. The Pharisees were the Jewish sect which Paul belonged to before his NDE and conversion to Christianity. Josephus wrote about the Pharisees' belief that the souls of evil men are punished after death. But the souls of good men are "removed into other bodies" and they will have "power to revive and live again."

From time to time throughout Jewish history, there was a persistent belief about dead prophets returning to life through reincarnation. But the Sadducees, a purist sect of Judaism, rejected the Persian concepts of resurrection and all Hellenistic influences involving reincarnation that was happening in Jesus' day. The Sadducees accepted only the orthodox Hebrew belief in Sheol. So there were a variety of influences going on in Jerusalem at the time of Jesus.

When Jesus began his ministry, many people wondered if he was the reincarnation of one of the prophets. Some people wondered the same thing concerning John the Baptist. And even Jesus affirmed to his disciples that John the Ba

  14. NO, WE ONLY LIVE ONCE.

  15. That doesn't even make sense. You can't be a Christian and believe in reincarnation.

  16. Well, I do believe in reincarnation of a kind, but not the kind most people mean when they say "reincarnation". I know that this world will pass away, and so will the rest of the universe eventually, but then another will be created. Then, after that, too, passes away, still another universe will be created, then another and another, and so forth until eternity.

In all that time, it is Impossible that we should not be granted another life, and then another, and yet another and another and so forth, an infinite number of times. So, through reincarnation of the entire universe an infinite number of times, we shall be given eternal life as well.

  17. Silence catgirl.  Your kind shall be destroyed in the cleansing of the furries, along with the cowgirls...

  18. There are many Christians who believe in reincarnation. Almost all early Christians likely did, and the belief didn't fade entirely until the Catholic Church came out against it.

There is an excellent book on the subject: "Reincarnation, the Missing Link in Christianity" by Elizabeth Clare Prophet. It tells the history of reincarnation as a part of Christian tradition and belief from a factual, historical perspective. And isn't a bad read for that kind of book. Hope you pick it up! I'll be happy to send you my copy if you can't find it.

    Blessings,

  19. It's pretty crazy that you started this discussion. I have been praying for my sister since we disagree in some things I am a Christian and she has different believes such as reincarnation. God loves us so deeply and He is very interested in answering our questions if  we ask Him. Because of our different believes we prayed tonight for God to reveal His truth to us. I dont believe in reincarnation and she does as some of you in this discussion do. I have never read in the bible anything about the subject. But I do know the one who knows everything and I know that He will answer my prayer. I will let you know once He answer our question. God bless you!!
