    It all depends on the fault boundary.

    Volcanoes - subduction zones or hot spots

    hot spots- happen becaus of divergent fault movement and lava replaces the crack with new rock and often volcanoes occure here. The volcanoes happened in Hawaii that way.

    mountain ranges- convergent fault lines

    Ocean ridges- divergent

    San Andreas fault is a strike slip fault or transfer fault boundary

    Any kind of fault bounday is at a risk of earthquakes
