Yes, Bush is an example. There is no doubt  that President Bush has lost no opportunity to fill the federal government with ideologues blinded to reality.

It is, far and away, the worst example of a public servant dealing with the realities of their complex job I have ever seen. On the other hand, it is an excellent example of an ideological screed.

Blind Ideology includes things like having a litmus test for being pro-life if you are a Republican Candidate...

Or, ignoring the fact that the Republicans have evolved into "Borrow and Spend" politicians while they still blame the Dems for being "Tax and Spend".  Don't know about you, but it takes me about 1 second of rational thought to chose taxation over a larger national debt....

Blind politics is all about not thinking through your positions.  Which is why America's highest educated people are backing Obama 75 to 25...

I agree! There are rules for some, ie: Palin....rules for others, you and I that she needs to bully so she can be voted it....

It basically means blind worship, to say that something is above and beyond you and to allow that thing to do whatever it wants without your interference.  Many Republicans took this sort of ideology to heart with President Bush.  If you're saying we as Democrats take it to heart with Obama, then I'd like to point out that many of us see the distinct flaws in Obama's character and still support him on the basis of the issues he supports, not because of some ideology.
