  1. im not married.

but i know my mom has one.

    and my neighbor.

and my neighbor currently divorsed and was so happy she had the account so she had money.

she knew that her husband was gonna try and take eveerything and he did but she had this account so it helped her.

  2. of course all married woman should have a secret account....you know cause just in case their man made a horrible mistake that you can't forgive....i definitely would, no matter who i married.

  3. The two major causes of divorce in this country are keeping secrets and financial differences.  Any one who sets up an account without telling their significant other is setting themselves up for problems.  In reading the answeres already given, some stated that a divorce has happened.  Think about it - could these divorces been caused by keeping secrets?

BTW - my wife does have an account in her name only, but it is not a secret.  We use for the extra money we get, such as tax refunds or gifts.  Thus it is our rainy day fund.

  4. * I'm a dude

I do encourage my sister and my daughter to maintain a separate account that should never be co-mingled with household funds.

The same holds true for my brother and my son!!!

There should always be a Plan B escape option...

  5. no i don't have one, but am thinking that maybe i should!!  All for good reasons of course :)

  6. hello - many many women i know have a secret savings or checking account.  personally i have seen marriages breakup because of these types of secrets, and they are usually about money.

  7. i have an account that my husband know about but can not touch if we divorce, he has one too.
