Do any of these have viruses?

Question

I dont want viruses on my computer so ill give a list of what i do and whats on my laptop. Can someone let me know if any of these have any?

Programs that ive downloaded- Mozilla firefox, Imvu, Advanced Antivirus, Acer Orbicam, iTunes, Jasc Animation center, Corel Paint shop pro X2

Most used websites- Imvu, Habbo hotel, bebo, myspace, photobucket, hotmail, youtube, Graphic websites like swimchick.net for example, xat chatboxes, Addicting games, miniclip, Yahoo answers

Viruses are not too dangerous but malware is, they will delete as much as what they can find.

If you make a connection to the internet, or install anything on your computer, you have already given your self a chance to get a virus.

Your best defense are the following -

1) A router that can act as a firewall

2) Antivirus that has auto/real time protection, updates definitions at least once a week, and runs a full scan everynight.

3)  Update the Operating System with Windows Update.  If you have it on automatic, you should still go to Tools > Windows > Updates from Internet Explorer and run until there are no more patches

4)  Ensure you have the latest and greatest version of each of your software to include Adobe, Media Player, Office, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Firefox Add Ins.

The sites you go to are safe, but you could click on something on someones MySpace that would take you to a site that MAY or MAY NOT be what you think it is.  Once you go, and if your computer isnt patched, you get the virus!

EDIT - michaelronson, a VIRUS is a form of MALWARE!  Along with Adware, Spyware, Trojans, Worms and the like.  Virus require the user to actually click on them and run them.  Trojans are hidden in something fun.  Worms replicate themselves.  All could have a payload that is destructive, or just installs a bot to be contorlled at later time, or Ad/Spyware.

That all seems ok . Do you have a anti virus soft ware? You should and use it and keep it up to date
