  1. side effects are inevitable

  2. The only things that work at all (and no bad side effects if taken properly) are ALLI and concentrated Hoodia pills. I've taken EVERYTHING, seriously. They're both great, and you can take them together as they're compatible and work differently, and neither affect your heart or brain. Just make sure you fully read and understand the directions!

  3. In the short term, they might.  In the long term you will gain all the weight back and more.  The key to losing weight is to change your eating habits permanently.  A lot of those pills contain ephedra which can cause heart attacks, strokes, etc.  Some of them contain high amounts of caffeine which will only make you jittery.

Fad diets like carb diets that cut out all fat are not the answer either.

Your body needs fat and calories to survive. Instead of taking away everything that has fat in it, you should start eating food with the right kind of fat and calories, for example, the fat oil from fish is very healthy.  If you start to starve your body, your body will go into survival mode. This means that when you reduce the fat you eat to a minimum, your body will preserve a higher percentage of the fat it's given. Let's say you normally eat a lot of fat, more than your body needs, it will only store maybe 25% of the fat. But when you reduce the fat to a minimum, it will at first do as normal and by that you will lose weight...for a short time...Then your body will adjust by starting to store maybe 50% of the small amount of fat you digest.  What do you think will happen at once the diet is over? You will gain weight even faster than before.  So, periods of starving or strict diets will make you even fatter than before.

  5. Nope. They're all scams.

I suggest losing weight the old fashioned way. Eat healthy and exercise a few times a week.

  6. Noooooo, just eat right.  Cut out red meat, but eat your beans, chicken, fish for protein or you will have "muscle wasting" a term used for those who are usually anorexic and deprive themselves of food and proper nutrients & protein.

Losing weight is not difficult you just have to know what to eat and not to eat.

No-refined sugars, prepackaged foods, soda, candy etc.

Learn how to cook from scratch, it really makes a difference. I still eat  those goodies, but I control the amount of sugar and I am not consuming preservatives and additives.

My husband makes our bread, & he puts oatmeal and sometimes nuts in it. He has proven that men can cook!

I make my homemade tomato sauce and we have pasta once or twice a week otherwise we eat chicken b*****s and different kinds of fish.  I have had to get creative with cooking these over and over, but we still say mmmm everytime we eat it.

This is how I cook chicken b*****s.. and they turn out so juicy you can cut it with a fork!  Put the b*****s, (boneless/skinless) in a heavy freezer bag, put in your seasonings, balsamic vinegar is great, orange zest, teriayaki sauce, Italian seasonings whatever you like.  Lay it on the counter and beat it till the chicken spreads out in the bag and either grill or fry in pan using only Olive OIL.

Olive oil is the only oil I ever use.

I like to lay it on a bed of mixed greens or spinch, put apples, walnuts, grapes, mandarin oranges around it.  You will be full and you won't want that junk food.
