  1. no i love it i'm good at public speaking

  2. YES i HATE it!

  3. I love reading in front of the class.

  4. Yes, I feel as if I am the most awkward person! I even shake sometimes! Especially if I'm reading something of my creation, I always feel like people will laugh at me or think bad things about me something. Really, the reasons I'm so shy and awkward are so stupid, yet they affect me so much. I'm trying to get over shyness this year by goal setting and advice from others though :)

  5. Yeah i hate it.  My voice used to break and get very soft when doing it.  But I learned to start thining i am better at reading than my class and if they dont like it than o well.  Now i dont care and i read in a funny tone to make people laugh.

  6. No I love it, but I never get to do it because everyone hates the sound of my voice.

  7. yes i hate it

  9. No, I love reading in front of the class!

In my Spanish class last semester, I had to read this whole thing in Spanish about myself, and I had props and everything. I said, in Spanish, that I had paper fish in my pants, and I pulled little paper fish out of my pants to demonstrate. Everything thought it was really flipped out.

  10. OMG ME!! lol i HATE it

i freeze, stutter, and i get as red as a lobster!!!!

and when im nervous i shake. Then my voice isnt very loud so i have to repeat.

then to put the icing on the cake, if someone asks me a question about what i read, ill laugh and my laugh is...well...different and people laugh then i laugh more and then the cycle never ends...its the worst thing in the world lol

  11. I did in High School.

It's a form of social phobia typical in, but not limited to, insecure people.

You are NOT alone, trust me.

  12. yeah i get nervous sometimes, but i just remember that they have to read next and that they are as nervous as you and that they really don't care what you do until you make it look obvious so just relax and stay calm

  13. no i love it

  14. I've been on both sides.

I used to be very confident about reading in class and I absolutely loved it. All my teachers knew I was good at it and would call on me to read.

However, I entered a High School in the US in junior year as a new student from another county. For a long time, I was always afraid of making a mistake when reading and hated it for a while. In the new school the teachers didn't know me well and I wasn't called on as much to read. That made me feel even less confident.

But soon I realised that there was no point to being afraid and if I make a mistake, well, the world wasn't going to end.

  15. yeah. It's like everyone's hanging on my every word and I'll be dead if I pronounce something wrong.

  16. Yes.  Fortunately, those days are over for me, but I never liked it.  It would have been so much faster to have us all just be quiet and read the pages quietly to ourselves.

  17. hate it
