I have always wondered if she wasn't a bit too popular and on has to admit that Prince Charles acted awful towards her.

  1. If you get in a car with a drunk driver and don't wear a seatbelt, the odds are pretty good that you are going to be in a serious accident.

If anybody had planned the accident, they would have made sure that everyone concerned in the crash died. So the fact that the only one who survived, the bodyguard, had sense enough to wear a seatbelt, gets rid of that theory immediately.

And Diana was not the little model of sweetness and light that the media portrayed her as. She did a lot of good in this world, but she was also neurotic and manipulative.

  2. Possible but unlikely

  3. The Phony Pharaoh thinks that Phil the Greek was behind the killing of Diana. I don't think many Brits agree with him.

My view is that we'll never know and that there are many, many other people who die in accidents or murders that don't get 0.0000000000000000001% of the attention of this fatality.

  4. h**l NO!

  5. Tell me please why you have to be a Brit to have an opinion?

According to me the answer is "Yes" I just have the gut feeling that not all is above board with this scenario.

She had the accident but not long after that the case grew cold and we never heard about any further investigation into the matter, Why? Put one and one together, and without being a genius, you will end up with two.

But, be it as it may, one day everthing will come to the light, it is always like that, what you do in the dark will and shall be brought to the light. <smile> let us just wait and see.

By the way I am from South Africa and Princess Diana was also a large icon in my life.

    Take Care Brit

  6. The only people who think Diana was deliberately killed are  a barking-mad Egyptian who owns Harrods and anyone he pays to think the same way.

And Diana wasn't exactly all sweetness and light the way the media like to portray her - she was a manipulative, selfish, self-centred attention-seeking b*tch. Her and Charles deserved each other.

  7. Absolutely not, and in response to one of the other posters, the reason responders ought to be British is because it is our Royal Family, and only our opinion of them has any real sway.

Whatever you might think of their marriage and subsequent divorce, it is quite a jump between an acrimonious divorce and murder.  While Diana might have negatively impacted the press view of the royals, she was not doing anything to actually harm the family, and they had no motive to want her dead.

Furthermore, independent inquiries in both France and Britain have ruled that it was not a homicide and that the deaths were caused by a drunk-driving accident in which the victims were not wearing seat-belts.  Now I suppose that ardent conspiracy theorists could argue that the Royals were influencing the British side of things, although I highly doubt it, but why would the French government protect the British Royal Family if it had proof of involvement?  What motive could they possibly have to cover-up evidence and lie to world for the sake of another country's royals?  That makes no sense at all.

Finally, whatever you might say about Charles, he genuinely seems to love his sons - if for no other reason than their sakes, why would he kill their mother?

Other than Mohammed Al-Fayed, no one but a few conspiracy theorists and rabid Diana fans take this theory seriously at all.  Most of the British don't think the Royal Family had anything to do with it.  And since in the UK, one is still innocent until proven guilty, it's time to let this rest.  If evidence ever appears suggesting involvement, that's one thing, but as long as there is not so much as a stich of evidence supporting the theory, leave it to the conspiracy nuts.

  8. Don't be silly. Sure her death was tragic but it was also an accident.

Much as a lot of people would like a conspiracy, her driver was apparently drunk and they were being chased by some photographers.

  9. I don't have a formed opinion, I think probably not; but there are millions who believe she was, and support it with  evidence such as- she is recorded saying that there was a plot to kill her in a car accident.

Also there was a chance that if she continued her relationship with Dodi Al Fayed then the future King would have a Muslim half brother, which would be a huge thing in the royal family, etc etc.
