Do any of you Celtics "fans" believe Paul Pierce when he said he is the best player in the world right now?

As a Hornets fan I know I would never trade Chris Paul for Paul Pierce. And I would take LeBron, Kobe, Howard, Deron Williams, Stoudamire, Marion, Nash, Bosh and Garrnett over him right now, no questions asked. Im sure there is even more players that I cant think of right now I would rather have then Pierce. Hes not even the best player on his team. Does anybody believe that hes the best in the world? Does he even really believe that?

I'm a c's fan and I have to say definitely not. He definitely stepped it up in the playoffs a few games but he's far from the best. I hope he was joking when he said that or else he really needs to let some air out of the head and bring the ego trip down.

I'm not a Celtics fan but I am a fan of Paul Pierce...somewhat. I don't believe he's the best in the world though. Not even in the NBA.

h**l no. he just won because he has garnett and allen by his side. Kobe, on the other hand had no superstar help besides pau who is useless when faced with garnett.

I think hes just being super cocky because he won the finals MVP, and i have to admit he put on a great show. But when your hot, your hot. I can score and spread the ball around when i get warmed up, anyone can.If Allen and Garnett wouldve played there best ball, (which they didnt) one of them wouldve won MVP. I totally agree with you on the players you said you would take before him. He's getting older and he's definitley not the best player in the nba. I think I'd have to go with Kobe Bryant as Number 1 in the NBA right now..Anyone agree with me??

I am a Boston girl and I love Paul Pierce... but he is not the best player in the world... he is, however a great player and had a huge impact on winning the championship.
