  1. I have been talking to my baby much more lately. The further along I get, the more I feel the need to talk to him/her. My 12 year old daughter likes to talk to the baby, too. My 17 year old likes to poke my belly hoping to feel a kick already. I'm sure that singing to your baby is perfectly normal.

  2. my husband loves to sing to my baby. i haven't really got into it all that much, but my mom said she would play music for me, read to me, and talk to me all the time when she was pregnant.

  3. No.  I feel wierd.  I don't know why...I just haven't had that connection I guess.  Don't get me wrong, I love my baby more than anything, I just feel odd talking outloud to my unborn son.

  4. I am also 23 weeks pregnant.  I don't sing because I don't want to traumatize my baby!  LOL!!  (If I had a nice voice, I probably would)  However, I do talk to her.  My husband talks to her.  Her older sister talks to her.  I know when my first daughter was born, she calmed down in the delivery room when her daddy went over and talked to her.  Even the nurses in the room said she recognized his voice. I know at this stage in pregnancy it is possible for the baby to hear us and I think it's a great idea to talk and sing to them.

    Good luck with the pregnancy!

  5. I feel weird doing that, but I do talk to him a lot.  I also rock him, too.  LOL, I shake my behind gently, which moves my belly, too.  He seems to like that.  I think I need to invest in a glider/rocker.

  6. Im due Christmas eve! I sing to my baby all the time and i also talk to her- it makes me feel close to her. I think it is fairly normal.

Good luck for your christmas birth.

  7. YES... my family picks on me all the time cause I joke around and ask her what she wants to eat, pick at her about whooping her butt when she is kicking, sing, read, talk, rub my belly, all that stuff!!! and i think it is completely normal for you to be so excited about your little one on the way!! Keep on talking MOM!!!

  8. Yes! When I was pregnant with my son, I talked to him all the time. It made me feel better and I think it helped create a real connection before he was even here.

  9. when i was preggo i would sing all the time. also I'd play music and read aloud. I think it helps the mother bond with her unborn baby.

  10. I sing, read and talk to her. So does my hubby... and my family members :)
