  1. I love the book and movie it a very emotional, but also interesting  but it better to watch the movie but the book it also good oh and if you had a bad day you could read it to be relax . but Mr. darcy at first seem mean cause he look like he took himself serious .

  2. I enjoyed the book, but I had to have a copy of Cliff's Notes next to me so I could understand much of what was being said. But I had seen the BBC version of the novel before I read the novel, so it wasn't too difficult.

  3. I love this book.  Read it at least ten times.  Now the first time I read it it was a chore to get through - the language, the characters, the sisters all have so many names/nicknames, i.e. Liz, Lizzy, Elizabeth, Eliza, etc.  However, once you have read it once (painfully), and know the general plot and easily remember and recognize all the main characters, you may want to give it a second read.  It is actually very intelligent and funny - especially her father who has a very dry and ironic sense of humor. Good luck!

  4. OMG sooooo boring. i tried to watch the movie as well and i feel asleep 15 min. in! HAHA

  5. It's an awesome book! I mean my boyfriend and I read a lot and we both like it, so it's not only girls. Try and pay more attention to whats happening, when you find a word that you don't understand, look it up!

  6. I think we like the story more than the actual words in the book. Jane Austen's writing is difficult, but you can get used to it if you make the effort.

To answer your question though, yes, there are girls, myself included, who do really like Pride and Prejudice. Keep reading! I promise the story does get interesting! :)

  7. I'd hardly consider P&P to be a thick book (but I'm a fan of epic fantasy novels where anything that isn't a 750 page/book trilogy is short).

I happen to love the story but I don't think Jane Austen's style of writing is for everyone. It simply isn't the kind of book that is meant to be a gripping, to draw you in immediately. It is a book about relationships and people and you need to take the time to get to know them in order to really care about the story.
