Besisdes his knees and kicks, his punches seem very untechnical. It seems as though he swings very wildly and gambles and hopes one of them land. Is he untechnical or does it just seem that way?

  1. he is an untechnical striker.  he takes way more shots than what he needs to.  he throws a lot of wild punches which leaves him susceptible to a lot of unnecessary damage.  with all that said he still has plenty of power and a good enough chin to allow him to get away with his strategy most of the time

  2. His hands are very unorthodox but he showed slight improvement in his fight with Chuck. He still lacks a good straight punch and is often unbalanced, but he possesses great handspeed, reflexes, and power which covers up some of his technical flaws.

  3. He throws unorthodox punches at awkward angles in order to confuse his opponents. The pun ch that gets you i the one you don't see. He throws very random so that the one that lands on the chin is fully loaded and unseen.

  4. Depends on what technic you are looking for.

Based on his mma record, I would say his technic works pretty well.  He will not win any karate dance points, but seems to work pretty well for him.

IMO the term "untechnical" does not fit in the mma world.  It works when all the arts were seperated and one could be judged by the skill in that art.  In mma the only time "technical " should be used is in TKO

  5. hes been training martial arts 2-3 times a day for almost as long as you have been alive

on that note, yeah.  he has no idea how to punch correctly... (if you dont get that sarcasm play in traffic)
