How old were you when you got pregnant for the last time?

How is motherhood when you aren't in you 20's or early 30's?

Do you advise it?

  1. yes you could say there are some age gaps, our oldest is 26 and the youngest is 6 with  a 13 and 16 year old in between.

  2. I don't think there is an age because it's just a number, I think it's about maturity.  How ready are you financially, emotionally, physcially?  I was 21 when I got pregnant and gave birth at 22 years old.  I had already been married for more than a year, I finished my Masters degree, my husband has a job that pays the bills, we get to live comfortably and most of all we have benefits, (medical bills are NO JOKE)! WE were ready to have a child and so we started trying, young I think.  But we were both prepared to give up our personal lives to have our little one and for us there are NO regrets - there is no partying, hardly anytime alone, no clubbing, things change in the relationship could be good and could be bad

It sounds like to are still a teen by your question --- I don't know you and can't advise you to do anything --- but I think you need to be prepared --- watch the BabyBorrowers

  3. My best friend has a 33 and 30 year old, and a 12 and 10 year old.  The only trouble she has is that her older daughter has trouble with her wanting to spend more time with her younger kids than she does with her grandchildren.

She is an incredible mom in her 50's.  I am a teacher and I can tell you that the older parents are always the best!  They are more relaxed!

  4. I'm not exactly the person you were directing the question to...but maybe my perspective will help you.

I'm 20 - my mom had me when she was 21. My three siblings are 13, 8, and 3. Having brothers and sisters so far apart is always exciting, but sometimes it can be a drag. However, I always loved that there was a new baby every few years.

Sometimes I wish that I grew up with my siblings as friends...rather than feeling more a disciplinarian than a sister because someone is always at that age where they need to be told "no" over and over.

I think my little brother (3) keeps my parents feeling young. But I also know it pains them a little to think about just how long they have until they are finally empty nesters.

I guess it really depends on your situation. Fortunately, my dad has a good job so my mom has been able to stay at home with the kids for the past 7 or 8 years.

  5. My mom got remarried and ended up pregnant at 42. It was really hard for her to be pregnant but she loves having him. there is a 16 year gap between my youngest sister and him. and 20 years between me and him. He is now 5 and I my oldest daughter is one month younger then him and my mom is loving having him she says it is like having a grandchild that never goes home but better!
