Do any of you have some ideas of how to make $1400 as soon as possible?

I'm going to be homeless in about a month or two because my mom is moving. I don't want to leave here, so I need to get my own place. I have a job, but won't have enough money by the time she leaves. So I need ideas to make money a tad bit faster.

If you can't get a loan from your Mom, then you should definitely look at the stuff you own (not stuff your Mom thinks belongs to her that she lets you use) and sell it via eBay or a yard sale.  That may mean stuff you like, such as an iPod or a TV.  You can always buy these things, again, once you're making money and have your life settled.

In my experience, the best (legal) way to make fast money is to get a job working as a server in an upscale restaurant.  If you are a quick learner and willing to work hard, you can earn a lot of money really quickly.  Plus, many restaurants have shifts that will mesh with your current job.

Different options:

Ask for a raise or an advance in your paycheck, see if you can cash in some vacation days and still work to get the extra money.

Get a second job, even if it is temporary.

If you decide to have a sale for your own unwanted things, ask mom to give you the stuff she doesn't want to move...she may have quite a bit.

Offer to help her move and ask her to pay you.

Get a roommate for the new place.

If you know you are headed for better times, and have a clear outline how to make that happen...ie, if this is a one time temporary situation, you can consider borrowing the money. Otherwise, avoid loans.

Sell anything you can afford to part with on ebay, especially expensive items such as ipod, TV, DVD player, or video gaming system. Also any old clothes that you don't wear anymore. You could also hold a garage sale of some sort.

Starting now, cut out all non-essentials: movies, drinks, meals out, etc.  

As the other people say, get a second job also.

Live with a friend or friends for a month after your mom leaves.  You should have enough money saved by then.  Then treat yourself to a nice housewarming party for all the people who helped you.

If legal then you can

use any skill or talent you have, like pottery, gardening, etc through which you can earn

You can find yourself another job temporarily. Working as a waitress can help a great deal. Or maybe baby sitting.

If you still cannot make that much then i guess you should loan the remaining money either from your mum itself or maybe a friend(or some friends) who you know will be willing to help and then you can pay them back.

See what suits you.

If you r willing to try illegal ways then try hacking, looting a bank, pick pocketting, kidnapping, stealing, etc

And even if you do get caught, relax at least you have a free place to stay with free food. ;)
