but this one is made of tree resin, wood, bamboo, material from the rubber tree, etc. I am trying to get things now that are not made of plastic.

I am not talking about drinking glasses, plates, eating utenils, etc where china dinner ware, glass drinking cups and metal eating utensils are common. I mean specifically, toothbrushes, combs, etc.

I have looked all over google, using search words such as "toothbrush", "not plastic", "alternative to plastic", "tree resin", etc.

What gave me this idea, was when I saw this really cool toothbrush in a store recently. It has a yellow handle and was fatter with a fatter head. It said on the packaging that is was made of tree resin or something. It was about 2 months ago. I just called Whole Foods and they said they have never sold something like that. I will be checking the other stores out near me soon. You would think if they had it in the store, they would surely have it on line. But I am coming up with nothing but blanks.

  1. I use a couple of website to find eco friendly items. www.treehugger.com and www.biggreenpurse.com. Both websites have links to a variety of retailers. You may also want to look at www.thehairdoccompany.com

  2. http://www.kilian-nakamura.com/catalog/e...

    http://www.51757.com/

There's also the Preserve toothbrush made from recycled plastic available online or at Target. I know it's plastic so not what you're looking for, but a good runner up if you don't find what you want.

  3. I would contact all health food stores as they often have things that are eco-friendly, not just food.  I have not heard of that but it sounds great.
