Do any of you know of any cheap ways to get around when i don't have a car or taxi fare.?

Please don't make dumb comments......i really need help i live in west columbia,sc and it cost 35 dollars to get to my job by taxi....and the bus doesn't even come anywhere close to where i live.....and i am currently in the process of learning to drive.....what can i do...

Bicycle is the way to go. I commute 14 miles each way by bike. It's a great way to clear your mind, get in shape, save money and avoid the traffic.

Another idea is to find a car-pool partner from your office that has the same schedule and lives somewhere near you or near one of the bus stops that can get you home. Even if you shared some gas expense it would be alot cheaper than a $35 cab fare.

bicycle... you can ride that far, you can find them cheap in newspapers or used at bike shops...
