  1. A cruise can be quite economical if you are willing to stay in an inside cabin. All of your meals would be paid for and your drinks like ice tea usually at meals. You could bring your own beverages on board to cut costs.

Vegas is another option but there you would spend about 800 for the two of you to fly and stay somewhere and then you would have to think about food expenses.

  2. I'd suggest searching for bed and breakfasts in areas that you and your fiance can drive to- either in Ohio or other nearby states. Try googling honeymoon + the state's name. e.g. Here are some in Ohio that have honeymoon packages: http://www.bbonline.com/oh/honeymoon.htm...

    Other ideas:

    The Rocky Mountains

North Shore in Grand Marais MN

  3. Myrtle Beach, SC, Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, TN

  5. Yes, here is a really simple thing to do. Visit Google, hit in Vacation Club Rentals, there will pop up dozens of web sites to visit, where you can Rent other peoples timeshare dates, and some vacations clubs offer a discount to stay at their Hotel for really cheap as long as you promise to sit through a timeshare meeting. These usually take 90 min., but they are free, and you do not have to buy. My husband and I went to the Marriott on our Honeymoon for a timeshare schpeel in St. Thomas US Virgin Islands, there you do not need a Passport, its tropical and you are still in The United States Territory, so all the same laws apply. I wanted somewhere romantic and my husband wanted to stay in the United States; so as any good husband in wife in training we compromised and choose the US Virgin Islands. Also, there are three other islands there you can make a day trip on a ferry and only spend $20, and still be on US land, so you still won't need a passport. We never bought the timeshare, we knew we were not going to going into it, but still reaped the rewards of one week of great honeymoon for less than $1,000, and for a week with flights and food it still stayed way under. We figured for all the money we were saving we could waist an hour and half, in the morning our last day there. We planned ahead and new our room would include a kitchen, so we made sure to put money aside to buy food at the local store, we ate mostly in the room, but you don't have to do this, we ate dinner usually at restaurants, but ate lunch and breakfast at home, and their things were "Duty Free", meaning we could buy them and bring them home without having to pay any extra tax. I don't smoke, but a carton of cig. There was $23 for name brand, that’s an example of how low they were.  Also check out Spirit Air. They are a great plane and they are supper cheap our flights round trip from Chicago area, only cost $290, for both of us. I hope this helps, one more thing, you do not have to choose the Marriott there are numerous timeshare companies to choose from and they all offer the same thing for business purposes, if you rent a timeshare week or even just a few days, you do not have to sit through the timeshare speech. They have hotels in Alaska, Hawaii, just about anywhere you can think of. So I hope this helps, if you need anymore information just let me know. You can IM me; I will be online for a while. GOOD LUCK

  6. Hello,

How are you? Congratulations on your honeymoon! I agree with Carrie.  If I wanted to go on a honeymoon but didn't want to spend more than $1000, I would rent a log cabin.  I know of some good log cabins for honeymooners too.  They are in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area of Tennessee.  Here is where to go to see for yourself, and book one of them http://www.cassandralanetravel.org click the "Hotels" tab at the top, then scroll down to "Smokey Mountain Getaways", click there and proceed.

    Happy Honeymooning!!!

  7. Depends on what you want out of your honeymoon spot. I'm getting married in April and we're going to Gatlinburg, Tn for a week and the cabin cost almost $1,000 for seven nights.
