  1. Just go to caloriecounter.net

  2. if you can sign up for a website, sign up for www.mypyramidtracker.gov and then you can keep track of all of your calories and it will calculate it for you.

To find out how many calories are in one serving in a pre-packaged thing, it usually says how many "per serving" on the box/bag and will tell you how large a serving size is.  To calculate how many calories you're eating, you multiply how many "serving sizes" you ate by how many calories are in one serving.

  3. The container (nutritional information) gives you Calories per Serving.

If you're looking for how many calories you've eaten and you ate more than one serving then the equation is

Servings x Calories per serving = Calories Eaten

For example, A bag of potato chips has 2 servings and each serving is 200 calories per serving.

I ate the whole bag so that's 2 servings at 200 calories per serving

    2 servings x 200 Calories per serving = 400 Total Calories eaten

  4. Most labels list calories per serving. If the calories are for the whole container (doubtful), just divide that by the number of servings they list or that you think it contains. Example 300 cals. per package divided by 6 people (servings) equals 50 per serving.

  5. on the side of the box that the food is in
