Do any stay at home moms know anything about blogging?

I want to work from home, and I think blogging would be a great choice. If you are a paid blogger can you give me some tips on how to get started?

Hey there,

  I\'m a work at home mom...I love it!  Blogging is a great choice, but it\'s important to realize that it takes a lot of time and effort to get your blog earning a lot of money.  There are many bloggers who start out thinking it\'s a fast road to riches and it\'s sadly not.

First, choose a topic you\'re interested in.  This will get you motivated to keep on posting.  You should also concentrate on a topic where people are spending money.  You\'ll be able to make more money if there are more dollars being thrown around in the market you choose.

Definitely go with Wordpress as your blogging software.  All you need to do is buy hosting (Hostgator is good).  They will give you a free domain name.  Then, you just do a one clicke Fantastico install of Wordpress on your domain. (There is a learning curve, but it\'s very worth it!)

Focus on getting as many people to visit your site as possible.  Google "how to drive traffic" to learn how to get the most visitors.  It\'s all about numbers...the more people who visit your site, the more money you\'ll make.

After you get good you can even have more than one blog.  Each of them making you money :)

Wel I'm not a mom but I do have some interesting information for you regarding blogging.

I tried almost every blog system you can find for free and also some popular paid ones.

My advice would be to start with wordpress and stay with them because it's the best platform;)

Let me tell you most people think it's easy to setup a blog and make money. Well it isn't. The easiest part is to install the blog. But then you need to configure the plugins and you need to know also which plugin to use and why?

But then...after that what do you do?The blog is not going anywhere like that.

Why?  Well you need to optimize your blog and you'll need to know how to do it.

Another thing is the topic of your blog. Not all topics are making big money , don't hurt yourself but find a profitable topic that you also like before you start, called a :"niche".

So let's say now your blog is totally configured and ready to take orders. Now you need to promote it.

This is the most difficult part for some because they just don't know where to start.. The best thing would be to find a system build around wordpress to do all the heavy work for you like auto-posting to socialbookmarkings sites and make your blog userfriendly, . and generates traffic for you

Learn to tie the ropes on your own and find some help in a forum about blogging or get help.
