  1. Encourage the students to work together on a variety of fun, educational, and interesting activities. Either in small groups or as a whole class. Allowing the children to work together will help to build their social skills and confidence, and will also make learning more enjoyable. Also, encourage interaction and the asking of questions at any time.

some fun and stimulating group activities could be:

-Finding a certain object, or objects, in a picture

-Think of rhyming words. ex.) "What rhymes with 'cat'?"

-Building something with, lego, playdough, toothpicks & marshmalllows, etc.

    -Many more (use your imagination)

Note: When students make a mistake, do not just say "that's wrong" and correct them. Instead, explain to them (in language they'll understand) what they did and why it won't work, then guide them to coming up with a better answer.

Do not reward success excessively, as it discourages the children who did not do as well. A simple "good job", or applause from the class, is sufficient. Candy, chocolate, etc. is excessive, and may not be approved of by parents anyway.

  2. my mom uses this website for her youngest class...she has been teaching for 30 years and i have been doing daycare for about 9 years....www.starfall.com

  3. not a teacher, but if you an "enrich" kids in discipine and proper behaviour, that would be great.

  4. http://www.dinosaurmusic.com.au/

  5. www.stepbystepcc.com

    www.enchantedlearning.com

  6. For my kids, who are 4 and 5 now, they enjoy their computer time and visit several sites to play on.  www.kiddiecircle.com, www.baby-place.com, www.paulysplayhouse.com, www.uptoten.com, www.jellybeanjungle.com, www.seussville.com, www.berenstainbears.com.....just to name a few.  Chick-fil-a has great kids prizes with their kids meals and my kids also enjoy the cd they get from chick-fil-a. It teaches them how to play on the computer and still learn from it.  Kids have such a "sponggy" mind and absorb any and everything you can introduce them to.  I hope this helps.

Also check out Sesame Street's website.

They have a bunch of great color/letter/number coloring pages.

  8. I include a lot of science in my curriculum. I just love to teach about our wonderful world & always get good responses. I have a pet mouse which the children love to hold & they will draw and write stories about it. They like to make tunnels for it with cardboard & sticky tape.

Science experiments are also great for the non-verbal or reticient child or for a child who needs challenges outside of the standard curriculum. They can generate a lot of exploration, questioning & problem solving too!

My children ar 3-5 year olds.
