What areas of christian employment can this degree be used and the pay scale? I am not to concerned with the pay but I would like to know if you have the answer. I want to work in a Christian setting because I am tired of walking on egg shells at my present job not able to talk openly about God . I work at a retail store.

  1. My husband is former pastor who is working on a degree in pastoral counselling and psychology  (Master's Level).

Larger churches hire pastoral counsellors.  They might have a worship pastor, a music pastor, a youth pastror and a counselling pastor..

My hubby is hoping to find work as a spiritual psychologist, bridging the gap between the spiritual world and the secular world.

You shouldn't have to walk on eggshells in a retail environment.  That said, I can't see any reason why you would need to talk about God during work hours, unless you're actively trying to evangelize your co-workers.  The most committed in thier faith practice it quietly, through thier actions, not thier words.  I work with many devout Christians, as well as devout Mormons, Jews, Muslims and Buddhists.  NONE of them feel a need to bring their religious beliefs into the workplace.
