To attract visitors you have to consider the type of visitors you want to attract. Once you've established that, you can start adding freebies, affiliates, blogs, pod casts, mp3, and so on. Make sure they all relate to your theme.  For example, you would not want to have painting products or affiliate on your site when your site is about video games.  Keep it all relative and have fun. Start with something you know and run with it from there.
