Channel Islands, Rusty, Dewey Weber, Hobie, Firewire, JC, JS.  depends upon what you're into.  Those are probably the most mass marketed brands.  There are literally hundreds of local shapers that make boards that are probably just as good but they don't make as many of them.

you mean a famous good brand or a famous brand used in a movie.... id say maybe a high graded billabong but a more affordable board rather than a couple thousand dollars for a super high grade pro grade board (billabong is an amazingly good brand for surfboards) get a high grade board for about 700 or so.
