Do anyone know how to write a courtesy email to a interviewer ?

I had a interview yesterday at a doctors office as a receptionist the hours are great a the pay is sooooooo good but i am scared because it was over 7 other people being interview for the same position i want to send a thank you email because i want this job soooooo bad how can i prove to them in this email that i am really the one for this job can anyone or do anyone know how to write a decent email thanks

  1. It is not usual practice to send a thank you note or email after an interview. Were you informed at the interview how and when you would be notified of your being successful or otherwise? If you do not hear from them in a day or two, you should telephone and enquire about the outcome.


  2. Always send a thank you letter following an interview.  Keep it short and professional.  You may send a thank you card rather than a letter.  This is often done to give it a more personal feel.  All you need to say is:

    Dear (sir, madam or Ms. Jones),

    I wanted to thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule for my interview.  I realize you have many applicants to choose from and I appreciate you consideration.  Please feel free to contact me if you need any additional information or have more questions.

    Sincerely,

    Sally Smith (or whatever)

    Send it withing three days of your interview and good luck to you!
