My dad which has dementia has a vehicle i've been in storage that i have been paying for about 2 years know. This has been a long process as I did not know if he could drive or not. But finally he has decide to let the vehicle go and someone and someone is interested in buying the vehicle. It's due for Registration this month, do I have to register it, or do the new owner register it, We are getting rid of the vehicle, it's to costly and doesn't make sence to keep paying on sence my dad will not be driving.

  1. You don't have to register it as long as you don't have a tag on it. Stop paying for registration  and you have to surrender the tag/insurance. You can sell an unregistered vehicle with no tags, or insurance, the buyer becomes responsible for it's transport and insurance/tags/reg.

  2. If the buyers are agreeable, no problem just sign the title over to them & let them handle it.

    Sorry about your dad....good luck

  3. you dont register to get tags you dont need  .. all you need to do is sign the title under sellers name and they sign under buyers name and your done its gone and what ever is in storeage is thing you dont need.. right if you needed it it woul dbe in the house really,,, sell it all or give it to someone  would be more money in pocket.. anyways just sign the tittle is all you need to do
