Refined corn oil is 99% triglyceride, with proportions of approximately 59% polyunsaturated fatty acid, 24% monounsaturated fatty acid, and 13% saturated fatty acid.

Triglyceride, more properly known as triacylglycerol, TAG or triacylglyceride, is glyceride in which the glycerol is esterified with three fatty acids. It is the main constituent of vegetable oil and animal fats.
