I am aimed toward an immediate medical school program, somethign really good. I have good grades at school, 31 act, 1800 SAT, 4.0 gpa. However I have done extremely poorly on my ap exams, I have only got two 3's and one 2. I need your advice and what truly matters regarding finding a good straight out of high school medical school, or even honor programs like dean scholar.

  1. Yes and no,  of course the fact that you tried to do the harder work is to be commended, but that is only if you got excellent grades in the AP classes, but today,  the colleges are looking for more than just perfect grades they want to be sure they have a well rounded class.  That means they want you to have volunteer experience, to have leadership experience,  and belong to some organizations at school or in the community.  They often want to see that you have participated in some organized sports too .  I have talked to the local 4 yr university while helping foster children get into school and they also look at those that took 6 months and went to do their military duty in the reserves or national guard, and they get ** points** for that,   it shows their dedication and commitment levels.

SO look at  the over all package when you are applying to schools. they want more than just an egg head,

    GOOD LUCK
