some countries, they do server dogs and cats as a delicasy, like japan and china ( ithink so) but for me it is absolutely gross.

There are some countries in the world that do eat dog. They think of dogs as a cuisine instead of a family pet. It is just because we were raised as knowing dogs as pets otherwise what's to stop us from ending killing cows and making them the house pet? But yes, there are some countries that do eat dog.

yes , dog meals is a great food here...i like it so much..its origin from The north of Vietnam where there are many wild dogs..

If you are asking is there anybody in the continent of Asia who has eaten dog meat, yes, there are some people there who have to learn how to make a meal out of whatever they can get.

well i asked that question to some filipinos i work with and i was told that they eat dog for madisimo purpouses... not for enjoyment... I was so shocked.. when they told me that.. but P***k dawg.. whats this im reading about folks in indonieshia  eatting rats.. man d**n that.. one

Yes - in some Asian countries dogs are eaten.  I lived in the Philippines for 3 years and was told that in the mountains they still eat dogs.  I believe it is illegal there now but is still practiced in the remote areas.

I have Phillipino family ... And yes they eat dog and cat meat also bugs.

They have less space than other countries to have farm animals so protein is low ... Its easier to keep a dog and cat, takes up less space than cow and cheaper to feed.  If you think about it very few people could afford to pay what they do for beef and really what else are you gonna do? You need protein to survive...

Just to let you know the cats/dogs are not pets their speciically raised for food.

i am an indian... no here we dont, but in china and korea and japan they do.... seriously why shud u be extra concerned about a dog jus coz it is a bigger animal? do not people eat chicken anyway... in both cases a life is lost..... so why do you ask THIS question as though it is WIERD.... if u are concerned, be concerned the life that is being lost and not the particular animal that is murdered
