I am going to Cabo San Lucas in 2 days and I have an American Cingular/At&T cell phone. Will my phone work when i get to Mexico!>>>>???

Mexitel.net (not .com) is where you'd want to rent your phone. Calls to the US are $1 per call - so good deal.

The problem is that you won't be able to get it in 2 days because they send it to your house (in the US), so  this time you might want to just try and be careful about using your phone (if it works in Cabo) cause it WILL cost a lot.

when my husband left for mexico he took his cingular phone with him and we talked all the way to puebla mexico.  we text messages also.  I also bought minutes to put on his phone while he is there.  the only problem is that with roaming its around 99cents per minute.  you can opt with cingular before you go for a cheaper rate of 59 cents per minute. hope this helps.

yes they will work but as soon as your cross the border you will need to change your network on your phone just read your instruction and you will know how. Good luck. I forgot to change my network when I got down there and did not figure it out until the day before I came home. GOOD LUCK!
