  1. "The two are not connected and have no bearing towards one another."

Actually, they are and they do. It's a Zen Koan (not a "nitwit Christian thing"), and there are atheists here that are always saying how Buddhism is atheistic.

But I'll say they probably believe it ( I can't see why they wouldn't), and Christians do too. Just becareful the tree don't fall on your noggin! It'll hurt! IT'LL HURT I TELLS YA!

  2. The two are not connected and have no bearing towards one another.

  3. What has it to do with atheism ? A fallen tree creates a noise whether anyone hears is or not. Some animal hears it. Some insect hears it. It's just physics and a human doesn't have to be present.

  4. what?

  5. Sound is the vibration of particles in the air. A tree falling would probably make quite a few of these. Being an Atheist, I can say that I do believe that, though I doubt I can speak for the whole group.

  6. Obviously there's a sound.

Just because I wasn't there when the Declaration of Independence was signed, doesn't mean it wasn't really signed.

  7. Do Christian nitwits have nothing better to do with their time than ask foolish questions?  Of course there's sound...

  8. just wanted to say I like the question, it's likely that it's not going to be completely understood though, perhaps that raises an additional point to your question. Only God knows!

  9. atheists don't believe in trees

  10. That concept and atheism have no connection.

  11. If there is no one there to hear it fall, then who can say that a tree fell in the woods?

  12. Well if they believe that a little piece of matter the size of a little golf ball blew up and created the universe and no one was around to see it hear it feel it or smell is i think they would also believe that it makes a sound. But you never know with those unintelligent nimrods.

  13. if they follow science (quantum physics)

  14. What the heck does this even mean?  But if no one's around to hear/see/whatever it, then can one say that there actually was a sound?

  15. Of course it makes a sound

We do not live in a Toy Story world where inanimate objects turn real when we're not looking...
