  1. Not an atheist personally. The ones I do know are probably as satisfied with life as the rest of us.

Store clerk: Hi. How are you today?

    Religious conservative: Fine.

Store clerk: Hi. How are you today?

    Atheist: Fine

Religiousness is not the only factor that leads to a satisfying life.

  2. No

  3. Don't be silly.

I know Atheists don't have God in their hearts,

but they certainly seem to be full of themselves.

    hehehehe.

  4. no

    i'm an atheist

my life isn't empty because i like aesthetics and fantsasy

  5. 1165 answers including this one - and I am surely only one of the lesser contributors to this category who you would classify as atheist. If not myself, the top contributors at least, can be spared this suspicion.

  6. Read above, or the million other times this question has been asked. Repeatedly, the Atheists say: No.

It's like gardening. I don't understand how my wife can enjoy doing something so dull, but she takes great pride and finds a lot of peace in the hobby. I'm sure a religious person can't understand how an Atheist could find any meaning without the factor that gives their life fulfillment, but that doesn't mean Atheists must have an empty life.

  7. Certainly not. Do religious people have empty lives? Do they waste every second of the day worshiping God and missing out on all the great things there are out there? I presume not.

  8. actually yes i do believe so because my ex-girlfriend was atheist and she said after life there is nothing but emptiness, s***w that right, I'm going to heaven to see my grandfather and all my friends and family that have been deceased

so yes they do because apparently their life isn't worth anything if there is no reward of heaven after it

  9. yeah i feel so 'cause they live each day of their lives without ANY hope at all..!! for them life is not an adventure. well these are not my words.. i've got 3 friends who are atheists..they said so...now they r on de quest to find somethin supernatural..!

  10. Hardly.  Although atheists don't believe in gods, they do believe in family and friends and their work and their future.

  11. No, I think it depends on the individual. How would you define an empty life? Some people find worshiping a deity or believing the supernatural adds meaning. I don't so this would not make life less empty for me. I have many things that make life full, rewarding, and meaningful for myself. We all create and assign meaning ourselves.

  12. I don't think they do, but if so it is not because of their beliefs. Atheism is just another religion!  Believing there is no god is just as reliant on faith as believing that there is one!

  13. In my opinion...

Yes it is true that emptiness does not belong solely to Atheist but everybody can also experience it.

Yes it is true that Atheist could also fill their life with many things unrelated with God

But then in a certain point of their  life time, say at the end of their life time,   Atheist has higher percentage of feeling empty than non Atheist, when they trip over perishable earthly stuffs, imperfectness, and human's limitations

  14. I do not have an empty life at all.

You may be equating atheism with nihilism, which is the belief that life has no objective value, or purpose.

Not all atheists are nihilists. Of those who aren't, most , if not all will say that life does have value and meaning, but it's up to the individual to define what that meaning is, thereby making it subjective.

Atheists are simply people who do not believe in any god(s). Just because someone does not believe in god doesn't mean they can't lead a happy and fulfilling life.

  15. You seem to have the wrong definition of atheism. Atheists are simply people who doesn't believe in god(s).

Having an empty life is optional...and I doubt it's solely exclusive to atheism. I'm pretty certain that there are more( even in proportion) dissatisfied theists than atheist.
