Do aussies & kiwis have same rights?

i hear kiwis & aussies are treated as citizens in each other's countries (a kiwi working in Oz has the exact same rights as aussies & vice versa). is that true?

  1. I think about the only thing we can't do is go straight onto unemployment benefits,not sure of the pension.But other than that it's one in all in.We are not allowed to change when it comes to the country we follow in cricket,football etc!LOL

    I don't think we can vote either.

  3. In a nutshell YES, it's true.

    I have lived in both countries.... keep skipping across the ditch as we call it.

    Some things are different to get used to such as each ones healthcare system and other government run agencies .... after all they are still separate countries, but such is life.

  4. yep that is true, im a kiwi living and working in aussie, you don't require a visa to move between countries,its just the same as moving interstate
