I was crying in the bathroom because i was devastated that my boyfriend and i broke up for real and when i came out she was just standing there looking at me. shes' 18 months. and i picked her up and she rested her head on my shoulder and started patting my back. but i suspect its because she understands that i am her medium to sesame street.

  1. The evidence from the scientific research supports that psi abilities are normal human abilities with a normal distribution in the general population. Thus, all humans have ESP (just like everyone can learn how to play basketball) but people will have it at different levels of ability. Learning to walk helps as a first step to playing basketball.

I don't know when the abilities of ESP would be most likely to demonstrated (or even if this has been studied). I suspect it would differ among individuals just like musical talent and developmental stages differ.

I think a better question would be at what age would a baby be able to follow instructions well enough to be tested experimentally for ESP.

That said, I believe that children can pick up (without ESP) when people are upset and other emotions by their observations of adults and other children around them.

Children learn a great deal by observing others and imitating their actions.

Of course the the relationship of any child to his/her provider of Sesame Street should never be underestimated.

    Psi

  2. They don't have ESP but they do have ears to hear crying and eyes to see tears.

    Medium to Sesame Street?

  3. No, no one has ESP. very young kids though are a bit more likely to pick up emotional distress because at that age they are almost pure ID.

  4. lol medium to sesame street :)

At 18 months, a child's brain isn't fully developed, but emotions are the first things they learn (after hungry, tired, and wet, of course).  Crying is something they can understand as they do it all the time.

Seeing how an infant's brain still has so much developing to do, I would have to say that they would be less likely than an adult to have ESP.  Assuming ESP even exists.  Which it doesn't.

  5. Everyone is born with ESP, we just start to turn it off as we get older and are conditioned by our parents and society to ignore it.  I am a psychic medium and I can say without a doubt, the ability does exist in everyone and there is life after this physical body.  And we all use many forms of ESP, she could sense your sadness and keep in mind that children are natural healers, so she was trying to help you as well :)

  6. No.  She heard you crying.  No one has ESP, no matter how old they are.  I don't know why you thought this meant 'ESP' instead of 'good hearing'.

  7. Her parents probably comforted her and patted her on the back when she was crying..so she was probably just imitating what she had seen them do. Or maybe she saw Big Bird pat Oscar on the back.

But...I do think that there are small children who are very in tune with psychic things. Some of them seem too mature for their age. I know one personally. She also seemed to go into trances and say things.  She's grown now and doesn't remember doing it.A few things still happen with her..but I encourage her to ignore it and not talk to others about it.
