  1. Babies begin to dream in utero.  So, dreaming starts before someone is even born.

  2. sure they do... they dream of a life long supply of pacifiers, and the never ending bottle of formula

  3. Are you sure the smiling isn't just gas?

  4. yes they do, sometimes you can tell by if they are smiling or frowning in their sleep.

  5. I think so. If you watch them, they make faces, suck, move. All the things adults in REM sleep do.

    Help me with mine?

  6. Yes, they do.  In fact, babies can dream while they're still in the womb.  You can read more about it here: http://www.drgreene.com/21_619.html

    Pretty interesting!

  7. heres a article i found on it i hope this helps

Babies dream, says Dr. Charles P. Pollak, director of the Center for Sleep Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell hospital in the New York Times.

In what seems like a rather gutless attempt to explain why he thinks babies dream, Dr. Pollack says, babies sleep because babies experience REM sleep (I have experienced REM sleep, too, any time you put in one of their last five albums). Because infants have REM sleep, Dr. Pollack says, "It is a well-based inference that babies are dreaming in REM sleep."

But what do babies dream about? Dr. Pollard does not even hazard to guess. Dr. Pollak says that asking him what babies dream about "is like asking whether your pet dog or cat is dreaming, because they can't communicate, and you can't ask. We presume that infants dream infantile things, but we don't really know what it is that they dream." My old dog used to bark while she dreamed and her feet would move like she was running. Clearly she was dreaming about what she spent 80 percent of her day thinking about (chasing squirrels). Luckily, there are no barriers like the scientific method or the Hippocratic Oath in blogging

  8. Yes. I think they do.  I used to give my baby these all natural drops to help her sleep through the night but I stopped giving them to her because she would talk, and grunt in her sleep like she was having a bad dream.

  9. Of course they do.
