Sometime ago here in UK the banks was going to charge you for withdrawels from ATM cash machines but i do think it was complied....it made me laugh, banks are designed to keep your money safe for you and they was trying to charge you for drawing out your own money....when i hear of banks getting robbed i give the banks no sympathy and wish the boys the best of luck.

  1. Why shouldn't they charge?  Why should the banks pay for machines that will only benefit you?  Why should the banks bear the cost of paying the technicians who service the machines, and the security staff who keep them filled with notes?

And if your bank gets robbed, who do you think pays to replace the missing money for them?

  2. Bank Cashpoints do not charge you for taking money out. Joking about armed robbery is not funny. I happen to work in a bank and have had good friends of mine hurt by the people robbing it. You might not agree with the banks policies but that isn't the fault of the people working on the counter who do not deserve to be attacked with a machete.

  3. yeah.

  4. if a cash machine is going to charge you for taking money out - it will always pop up on a screen, and you should have to confirm, that you wish to go ahead with the transaction before you take the money out.

  5. I agree with your overall sentiment.

As far as I'm aware, no bank charges their customers for using ATM machines, it is the owner of the ATM machine that places this charge. It should warn you on the machine whether or not you will be charged for withdrawing funds from it.

  6. Well I know in the US they can..unless it's is withdrawed from an ATM that they honor. If you use it at any ATM they do not honor,I think your bank charges you plus the ones who own the ATM,and it's usually 2 or 3 bucks. I am not sure about the UK. Good luck.

  7. i agree when you say its wrong to charge us for teh withdrawal of out own cash but if you with "the boys" best of luck, there sealing your money
