We have a nest on our porch and they swoop when getting too close. I'm afraid they'll attack when mowing, etc.

  1. No, they won't. I was raised on a farm and we always had them. Just like a bat they will dive at you, especially if they're nesting, but they won't touch you. As the other answerer said they are beneficial as they eat many insects. They are harmless.

  2. they wont hurt you ,they are just warning you off

  3. They won't hit you they'll just try to run you off by trying to scar you.  You'll be okay:)  Plus they love to eat bugs.

  4. Most birds will swoop, if you get close to it's nest, usually will not actually touch you unless it is a blue jay then watch out..
