Do bearded dragons do better with others in the cage?

  1. It is true that older bearded dragons do not enjoy the company of others in their cage, but if your trying to get 2 bearded dragons to mate you have to let them meet outside the cage...as the bearded dragon that was originally there will be protective because it thinks that the cage is their territory.

  2. When they're young they do, but as they get older no. Males with overbreed and kill the females. The bigger bearded dragons will hog all the good basking spots and food.

    Need I go on? It's ok for the young ones, but not older ones.

  3. They do better alone.  They are territorial, and will often fight, or one will be extremely dominant over the other and cause stunting and general lack of thriving.  There is also the whole issue of overbreeding if if is a male-female combo.
