Do big cats bite their tongues?

People bite their tongues, cheeks, on accident and it's no big deal but big cats have sharp teeth, do they puncture themselves?

Of course it happens occasionally, just as it does in people. Accidentally biting their tongues or cheeks may cause a small wound, but this will heal very rapidly.
