  1. A wider tire can help with traction to a certain extent, sometimes a wider tire doesn't mean a faster car, thats up to the engine, if you want some fast tires look for a good tread and traction rating

  2. My big truck tires sure seem to cover the ground faster!  That scenary just flies by!!  But then that could be due to the amount of pressure I put on that skinny little peddal on the floor!!  Accelaration is due to the engine size of the vehicle.

  3. Yes, bigger tires make you go faster,  think about it.  If your axle is still spinning at the same rpms, a bigger tire will cover more ground than a smaller tire.

Smaller tires are easier to burn rubber with because they are not covering the same amount of ground as a bigger tire would.

bigger tires are faster.  why else would drag racers have them big wide tires on?

  4. the taller the tire, the slower your acceleration, the shorter the tire, the faster, width has no effect unles you have enough power to worry about traction
