  1. Biology means the study of living things and philosophy means a study of human morals, character and behavior

  2. Yes!

Though Philosophy deals much  with "thought", "thinking", "perceiving"..

Biology is a branch of science that deals with the biota, that is, the living beings, be it the plants, or animals, or even their physiological aspects..

But both Biology and Philosophy depend upon each others..

In Biology, philosophical outlook has lead to many many generalizations.

when we research upon any problem in biology, the researcher must have philosophical outlook, so as to think deeply on each and every aspect well..

Whereas in Philosophy again, Biology is concerned with the evolution, its theories, and many more!!

    hope that helps..

  3. Biology is a science, and science can be considered as a branch of philosophy - "Natural Philosophy" is what all science used to be called.

  4. The early Greek Philosophers were the first known humans to begin developing detailed classification systems for life.  They were the first to truly use observation of the natural world, and developed the Scientific Method, although it used different wording.  The early Greeks developed Philosophical methods of logic primarily to discuss and try to explain natural Biological phenomena.  Contrary to popular belief, it was not about religion for the most part.
