No. Sorry if you wanted them to. They will if you put them in a microwave. All animals (Even Humans) will explode if you put them in a microwave. Also Why don't you go outside and smash ants. (They're yummy!)

No. That's a silly myth. The stomach of a bird doesn't get nearly hot enough to effectively "cook" the rice, making it expand.

Birds do not blow up if they eat rice or ingest alka seltzer. However, the alka seltzer can make a bird ill. Please read my profile.

No, if you feed birds rice they will not blow up. I feed my grey rice once a week, and it is perfectly healthy.

However, if uncooked instant rice was fed to a bird and it ate a large quantity then when the rice expanded his stomach could rupture and he could have internal bleeding and die. Not funny, nor amusing.
