Do birds know something about flight that we aint found out about yet?...?

Question

I was watching about 6 magpies feeding on the kids leftovers on the school playing field...and noticed that one of them was missing it's long tail...however!...this bird had no problem flying!... including some acrobatic flying movements...so how do they do this?... when a boeing 737 crashes when the tail fin and rudder was broken off in flight on TV program 'Air crash investigations'???

i dont think we will ever see a 737 flap like a bird

thats a really good question but sorry i havent got a clue. its probably the same reason dogs can detect the smallest trace cancer when our cancer detecting machines can't
