Today my family had a huge verbal physical argument, our bird usually stays on topp of his cage, but today he flew to the room where we were all yelling, I once heard that a bird trys to take on its owners sorrows.

Any truth to that???

  1. Birds are highly intelligent and tuned in to the emotions of their flock members (that would be your family).  Like people, they may all react differently but yes, they DO sense our joys and sorrows.

  2. All animals can tell when something is wrong. I once got in an argument with my parents and my dog got upset from it all and ended up pooping everywhere because he was scared. If an animal feels it's owner is being attacked weither it's verbally or phsicaly, it will try to defend them. I hope that answers tour question.
