Before you laugh and dismiss this as trivial, it may be the crux to a solution. If every human were comfortable, we'd use much less electrical energy, fossil fuels and in general, consume less food.

In short, would you wear a sweater to shut Al Gore up?

  1. Reduce. Some of the top current climate experts try to live by what the preach. They usually only heat one room in there homes in the winter. Wear warm clothing when it is cold, cool clothing when it is warm. And they are really into bikes and by local foods.

Over all I trust there data a lot more because they feel it is important enough to make major life changes over. Unlike Al Gore. Through out the video he showed a lifestyle of not reducing C02 (flying in a private jet, driving in a old car which has poor gas mileage.) But I don't think reducing your CO2 will get Al Gore to be quiet, I think he is lobbying for the attention. Should that stop you from making a difference no.

  2. There are a lot of things that we could do individually that would benefit the population.  It is hard for us to make these sacrifices when we are unsure that others will also make these sacrifices.  If a significant amount of us don't cuddle under our blankets then there will be no cumulative effect.

It's the same thing with industry.  Making changes that will help the environment costs a lot of mulah and unless other companies make these costly changes there will be no significant effect.

In order to make a difference, though, we have to have the mindset that we can make a difference, no matter how small.  Are you of this mind set?  It doesn't look like AL Gore is.  What a Hypocrite.

Live by technology, die by technology.  lol

  3. lol,

thats a nice and rather funny idea but its not really very plausible. as id rather be sitting next to a heater or hot air con then have 25 jumpers on.

but yes if it shut al gore up id assemble the neighbourhood and wed all wear jumpers for a week
