Do blind people ever turn on their lights in their living room?

I have a nephew who is blind, and he turns the lights on in every room he walks into just like I do. He has NOT been blind his whole life so maybe that makes a difference, but he has been blind for more than 10 years.

Some people who are legally blind might - if they can actually use light.
