Well I'm planning on getting a blood test to see if I'm pregnant but clearly they're different from the school needles because the school ones are just a 1 second jab but yeah since blood tests stick a needle in and take blood out, how long do they leave the needle in and does it hurt? lol im scared of needles..

  1. blood tests dont hurt a bit they took blood from me to see if i had micro plasmic amonya    sorry bout the spelling

  2. blood tests don't hurt, seriously it actually doesn't at all.  Its a very thin needle and only lasts a few seconds, just don't look at it.

The most painful is the cervical cancer injection , compared to that its nothing.

  3. Blood tests just feel funny. You can get a pregancy test taken. Or you can go see the doctor. They can tell you. Blood tests' needles stay in your skin a little longer. They take some blood out so the feeling is weird.

  4. Blood tests don't actually hurt as much as the anti-virus needles. They leave the needle in for 10 seconds max. It only hurts afterwards if they let the blood flow back in.

  5. the only part that hurts is the stick, went hey poke it in.. and it doesnt really hurt. okay once its in yu dont feel a thing.. this is wut i do. jus look out the window and think about something else and before yu know it your done

  6. blood tests dont hurt.

if it bothers you just dont look at needle when they do it.

they make it so quick and easy these days. :)

  7. They don't hurt, but the after effects are what suck.

Everyone is different though, I got really dizzy and felt like I was going to puke for like 10min. They will let you sit there until you're ready though.

This is also depending on how much blood they have to take for a prego test.

I was getting tested for anything I just wanted to make sure my blood was clean and I didn't have anything... so they took about six vials full.

I would talk to your doctor as they do it to have them explain into detail, but like I said it really didn't hurt, it just left a bruise and me feeling sick and dizzy for a few min afterwards. :]

  8. I'm a phlebotomist (drawing blood is my job) and if they are only drawing a pregnancy test, the needle should only be in about 10-15 seconds, but all phlebs have their own little techniques... that's about average though. It doesn't hurt that bad, unless you get a crappy phlebotomist.

and for that test it's a very small amount of blood, equivalent to about a teaspoon

  9. Ashleigh, not unless they draw the blood from the bridge of your nose or neck---ohh haha!!!

  10. they dont hurt. it just gets u a little woost cuz they take a lot of blood.

  11. once the needles in it wont hurt
