It's not uncommon for me that dvds start freezing and lagging, I was just wondering if Blu-ray has less chance of s******g up and freezing then dvds do.

  1. Well depending what player you have and wether or not you have the latest updates some discs may freeze or even be unplayable.

I have had the experience with Fox and MGM new releases like Fantastic Four Rise Of The Silver Surfer, Robocop and Day After Tomorrow that these movies will play but they stutter all throughout the duration of the film. I push pause and then play very often which temporarily fixes the issue for 5-10 minutes....but in scenes with a lot of fast motion/intense action I have to do it like every couple of seconds which becomes very irritating.

  2. no they actually have more chance of freezing but it is worth it for the amazing 1080p resolution.
